RE: paraffin for processing
From: | "Gladney, Diane C" <Diane.Gladney@se.amedd.army.mil> |
We use Surgipath Infiltration Medium (Cat. # IF-200) in the processor and
Embedding Medium (Cat. # EM-400) to embed. This gives us superior sectioning
with excellent ribboning. I recently tried a single paraffin from another
company but I was greatly disappointed in the paraffin. We had multiple
problems with sectioning. I went back to the Surgipath two paraffin system.
I am willing to try new products, but I have used Surgipath's paraffins for
more years than I care to think about. These paraffins have proven to be an
excellent paraffin infiltration and embedding system for a broad range of
tissue types. We are a small hospital with many outpatient clinics that we
receive specimens for analysis. If you would like more information, I will
gladly reply to your e-mail. Have a great day y'all.

Subject: paraffin for processing
We have been having trouble with the ribboning ability of our sectioning
lately. Can you tell me how many of you use one paraffin for processing and
another for embedding. Currently we are using one for both.---Thanks in
advance for your help.
