Procedure for silane coated slides.
1-Place slides in staining racks
2-Place slides in acetone 2 minutes
3-Place slides in 2% silane solution 2 minutes
(5ml silane to 250 ml acetone)
4-Distilled water 5 dips
5-Distilled water 5 dips
6-Distilled water 5 dips
7-Allow slides to air dry overnight
8-Store in slide boxes
I order the Silane from sigma. (3-aminopropyl-triethoxysilane
Cat#A-3648
I have tried commercially available silane and plus slides but they do
not work as well foe me and they are A LOT more expensive.
