	Hi everyone!

I recently tried the fluorescent Filipin stain for cholesterol, as
found in Bancroft and Stevens. Problem is, I'm having a hard time finding
any information about how the stain works. I know that Filipin comes from
Streptomyces filipinensis, and is an antibiotic, but that's about it. Can
anyone help explain the staining mechanism to me?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

	Thanks,
