We had one of our best membership meetings this past weekend.  We followed
the format used by Dave Cavanaugh at the NSH in Providence last fall in
which vendors with autostainers set up demonstrations.  Six companies
attended - BioGenex, Cytologix, DAKO, DPC, North Central and Ventana.  The
attendees were divided into six groups to be rotated about every 30 minutes.
It was great!!  Everyone had a good  time while also getting a close up
feeling for staining instruments available to meet their lab environment
needs.  Both sides - the company reps and the membership - gave a thumbs up
and recommend this setting.  The Minnesota Society  for Histotechnology
would like to say Thank You Dave for  sharing with us this wonderful
educational format as well as to the Reps who gave up a Saturday in April
to travel to Hennepin County Medical Center  in Minneapolis, Minnesota to
share with us not only their instruments, but also their knowledge and to
reassure us of their support in our profession.  Have a great day everyone.  Linda
