If Jan was rattling on, pay attention, folks! She is absolutely correct.
There are no cheap seats anymore, but the improvements are worth it.

Had an old AO/Reichert 820 die a few years back which was over 25 years old,
they paid approx $800 dollars for the 820, plus one reconditioning at
approx $500, total $1300 divided by 25 = $52 dollars a year! Think on
how long your new instrument will last with good care, and you will still
have a good deal.

The new microtome is so much BETTER, does so much MORE, and with good
care, is a good investment. Glad I spent the money on a NEW instrument.
And if people don't like the high costs, I have a lovely "NO WHINING"
towel I can loan out.
