For formalin fixation on frozens for an H&E, section at -17C, and place
directly into NBF, RT for 1 min, sections do stay on slide, if you proceed
with IHC (cold fix, time determined by success of staining), rinse
with PBS. For an H&E, I rinsed very gently in water post NBF fix,
proceeded with H&E.
For any acetone fixation for IHC, air dry for 30 min up to 4 hours,
fix cold for 10 min, air dry, store or rinse OCT away with PBS.
