Anyone out there using any sort of Stereology computer programs for
Image Analysis? I am wondering what other systems people might be
using and their comments on what they like/don't like about each one.
I am looking to buy another system. Currently we have a mac-based set
up (Quadra) with a Scion frame grabber, NIH Image to capture the
Images, and Stereology Toolbox to assist with the point counts for our
data collection. We are examining histological lung specimens using a
color CCD camera.
I've been pretty disappointed with Stereology Toolbox, because it is so
old and the manufacturers have been so slow to update it. My problem
is that I know that it will cause the newer Power macs to crash, and if
I'm going to buy another mac it really ought to be a Power
YM_M4I5S3S_7.
So I'm in the market for suggestions. Any takers?
