We have received many requests for information about CureMount. Based on
some of the questions I would like to make the following points

CureMount is a permanent mounting medium for DEHYDRATED sections. The
coverslipped slide is cured in 60 seconds under a UV lamp emitting light
with a wave length of 360nm(non-damaging).

Once cured the slide is dry and the coverslip fixed in place. The refractive
index is 1.55 which matches dehydrated tissue, making the stained structures
stand out in exquisite detail.

If the cover slip has to removed the slide is briefly heated(seconds) and
the CureMount "decures"

For those using the Tape-Transfer adhesive-coated slides, CureMount will
make the polymerized layer invisible.
