I agree that silane slides are good for all around use.  We put all of our immuno, frozen
sections, or special stains on these.  However, we do not pay the high cost of buying
them.  We buy a bottle or two of salane solution and dip regular slides ourselves.
Usually we fill racks and dip about 600 at a time.  Pretty inexpensive this way.
