The IQ Kinetic Slide Stainer is what we use. It is from Biocare Medical. The
unit has two 12 slide humidity chambers (additional slide units can be added),
two heating bars capable of reaching 95 degrees C (great for in-situ). The hot
bar has a white grooved surface which makes viewing the slides more practical.
The unit has a tilt action slide holder that tilts at 45 degrees for rinsing the
slides. During incubations the stainer is on a orbital shaker which improves
overall staining.
Having a slide warmer for years in the laboratory and after looking into
automated systems (I finally purchased one), this inexpensive slide stainer is
the best.
