Instrumedics has developed and a new permanent mounting medium, CureMount,
which cures to a DRY, microscope-ready slide in less than 60 seconds.

CureMount is a UV-curable polymer of low-viscosity that cures to a
refractive index of 1.55. This closely matches the refractive index of
dehydrated tissue so that all unstained elements will be invisible, making
the stained elements stand out in exquisite detail.

CureMount is especially effective for use with Instrumedics' adhesive-coated
slides. The polymerized adhesive layer, which under some conditions is
visible, will also become completely invisible.

If it becomes necessary to remove the cover glass, heating the slide
briefly to 60 degrees Celsius melts the cured resin .The slide can then be
rinsed in xylene to wash away any remaining resin.

Please contact Instrumedics for complete details.
