[Histonet] specialstains

From:"Gudrun Lang"

Hi!
Thanks for your answers.
Although I have some difficulties about the different names and abbreviations of the specialstains, I see that the most important are used all over the world.

After contacting other pathologies in Austria, I found out, that no one works with the same procedures, although the names are similar. And the pathologists are satisfied.
Are there better standards in your country? Or is it the same, that each lab "cooks its own soup"?

I made a list of the answer-stains. I made questionmarks to those, I never heard bevore. Perhaps someone is so friendly and explain the english terms to me.

greetings from Austria
