Agreed re Cytospin. However we haven't, unfortunately, got one. I gently scrape the cells from culture plate( can use Trypsin BUT if the Ag is membrane-bound you will probably get a diminished signal), then spin them down briefly to get a pellet. Then tip off the SC snatant and add fixing fluid. Pellet usually comes away with gentle teasing after fixing.  Bit Heath-Robinson but gives adequate pellet for sectioning
