decalcification of Carnoy or Methacarn fixated tissues
Hello,
I have a spin off question from my earlier postings
on alcohol-based fixation for PCNA detection. Does anybody have suggestions on
decalcifying using EDTA of these tissues fixated in Carnoy or Methacarn. We
traditionally use 4% PFA or PG as fixative, we then decalcify with 0.1M EDTA in
the fixative used.
However, this doesn't seem to work with
alcohol-based fixatives (EDTA remains insoluble). Any suggestions?
Sincerely,
Kris.
