I use Methyl Green as a counterstain for some IHC - could it be methyl green
you are referring to??

Several books say that methylene green (the nitro analog of methylene blue;
not methyl green) can be used as a nuclear stain, but give no procedure.

Does anyone in histoland have a protocol for methylene green staining of
nuclei?
