NSH Convention and Educators

If you are going to the NSH Symposium -

Some areas of interest to HT/HTL Program Directors, Education Coordinators,
instructors, anyone associated with a histotechnology program, or anyone
interested in starting a HT or HTL program:

1. EDUCATOR'S IN HISTOTECHNOLOGY FORUM:

Open to anyone working with a HT/HTL program, or interested in starting a
program. Where we discuss our concerns, successes, etc.

Main topic - proposed 2002 NAACLS HT Essentials. It went to the NAACLS Board
this month, where it had lots of discussion. Robert Lott, NSH representative
on the NAACLS Board, will be bringing up the issues and concerns.

If you want to look them over, go to http://www.naacls.org and then click on
draft HT Standards.

Date and Time: Monday, Sept. 30, 5-6 pm. Location - check the schedule when
checking in.

2. HT/HTL CERTIFICATION INFORMATION SESSION:

Representatives from ASCP BOR and NSH will be discussing the ASCP HT and HTL
certification exams - eligibility, deadlines, scoring, fees, answering
questions, etc.

During lunch time, so bring a lunch.

Saturday, Sept. 28 - 11:30 am - 1 pm - Room 203 B - Computer portion of
exams

Sunday, Sept. 29th and Monday Sept. 30 - 11:30 am - 1:00 pm - Room 203 C -
Practical portion of exams
