RE: Mounting vibratome sections

From:"Connolly, Brett M"

I stain vibratome sections as free-floating IHC. All steps are preformed
with the section floating in solution. Upon completion the sections are
mounted on slides.

Subject: Mounting vibratome sections

Hello Histonetters. I have a question about doing
immunohistochemistry(IHC) on vibratome sections. We're using a 16%
gelatin, 30% sucrose embedding medium. We'd like to be able to do IHC
on these sections, but, of course, they won't stay on the slide when you
put them in solution. Does anyone know of an embedding medium you can
use that will stick to a slide, or failing that, an easy way to do IHC
on vibratome sections? Thanks.
