Martha, in our em lab the renal biopsies that immunofluroescent studies are
performed on are coverslipped with GEL/MOUNT catalogue # M01, ordered from
Biomeda Corp.,  Foster City, CA. Once the coverslip "sets", there is no
movement and we have never had to nail polish seal our immunofluorescent
slides/cases. Immunofluorescent slides are stored in the lower part of a
refrigerator with the refrigerator containing absolutely no fixative (as
vapors from the fixatives will ruin the immunofluorescence.
