I use a method involving treatment with a carbonate.  It works fine if done
with minimal care.  I got it from the Vancouver General Hospital.  The
sludge produced with all the mercury in it is shipped to a reprocessing
plant in Calgary.  I am on vacation at the moment and the procedure is at
work.  I will post it next week.
