Re: CK5/6

CK5/6: Boehringer was bought by Roche, Roche has sold the Boehringer
antibodies to Chemicon. Now you can get the same antibody that was available
from Boehringer at a 50% higher price (at least for us here over in Europe)
from Chemicon. Nevertheless clone D5/16 B4 works nicely (working conc. 1
ug/ml; microwave HIER in 5% urea with 100 mM Tris, pH 9.5). As far as I
know, the same clone has become available from Zymed just recently.
CD38: no experience with Dako's clone AT1 3/5. We are using Serotec's
anti-CD138 (syndecan-1), clone B-B4 to demonstrate plasma cells in bone
marrow biopsies. Works very nicely there, however seems to label only a
subpopulation of plasma cells in other tissue. Working conc. is 2 ug/ml,
HIER in pressure cooker, 10 mM citrate pH 6.0.
Good luck!
