Good advice Russ. Another option if the software won't impose a grid on the
video screen is simply to make a transparency copy of a page of graft paper
which has a grid pattern that suits the work. The transparency is then taped
to the monitor and calibrated with a stage micrometer as described for using
an optical reticule. Some people find using a grid of some type on the
monitor produces less eyestrain and more accurate counts.
