RE: bubbles

Carmen,
Many years ago Janet Maas taught me a trick for removing or reducing
bubbles. Just add 2 to 3 drops of Photo Flow from Kodak. One bottle lasts
forever and any camera store show have or be able to get it for you. It
doesn't interfere with any stains and reduces the surface tension so
bubbles either don't form or burst as soon as the Photo Flow is added.
Don't add more than mentioned or your ribbons will sink to the bottom of the
bath. Pam Marcum

Histonetters

I have been working in histopathology for about sixteen years and now a very
annoying problem has cropped up. We are getting bubbles floating up to the
sections in the floatation baths. They are not big bubbles that are usually
seen
after we change the distilled water. For those we simply tap on the bath and
they are easily removed. These are very tiny and cover the underside of the
whole section.
Any ideas of how they can be prevented from forming or removed?
Thanks for your help
