I have a couple of questions that have surfaced recently.

1) Is anyone bar-coding slides?

2) If so, what lab information system (software) are you using? If Cerner, 
who wrote the code for this functionality?

3) What function(s) are the barcodes used for: Tracking; Checking completed 
work out of the lab; Ordering additional cuts or specials; Calling the 
report up for verification; calling the report up for dictation of results; 
any other uses I may have missed?
