resin embedding/immunostaining

From:Gayle Callis <uvsgc@msu.oscs.montana.edu> (by way of histonet)

Plastics interfer with immunostaining by preventing immunoglobulins access
to antigenic sites. Plastic should be removed, PMMA can be dissolved away,
GMA cannot, other plastics go through stringent etching methods potentially
hard on antigenic sites.

Neil Hand J of Histotechnology, a few years back, does PMMA technic with
antigen retrieval on a huge panel of antibodies very successfully.
