? on Potassium Dichromate removal

Dear Histonet's
Our histo lab use's a 3% potassium dicromate solution to post-fix animal
brains, then we rinse them with running tap water to remove the excess
yellow/orange
color all day or over night, then return the tissue to 10% Formalin until
we process them.Is there a rapid (Non Sodium) method for removing the
potassium dichromate?
