fluorescent dyes

From:bakerj@umich.edu (john baker)

Does anyone in histonetland have any information on calcein and
oxytetracycline injectable dyes? Also, the use of these dyes in the
processing of bone, post-staining, and what filters in fluorescent
microscopy, etc. one uses for analysis of the tissue. A Dr. called me this
morning from a local hospital who was presented with a study where these
dyes were used for three week intervals to mark the new bone growth. I am
not that familiar with them but know there are people out there who do
know? Any references that discuss the use of these dyes in bone would be
helpful too. Thank you, John
