RE: Coverslip removal

From:"Frank, Matthew" <Matthew_Frank@URMC.Rochester.edu>

Soaking the slides in water will remove the coverslip. Sometimes it takes
much more than 1 day especially if the coverslip has been on for a while.
You might want to let the slide soak in a coplin jar of water and place it
in a 60 degree oven, the heat may help to loosen the adhesive sooner.

Could anyone recommend a method to remove a coverslip that has been mounted
with
the water based media Aquamount? The only thing I can think of would be to
soak
it in water overnight and the try to carefully pry it off. This is a
regular
glass coverslip on a plus charged slide.

Thanking you in advance
