Dear Debbie,
I can't help you with your problem with the GI tissue but this would be a
good time to go to your pathologist and say you need a new tissue
processor. We tried for a long time to get a new one and were always told
there was no money. Well, one morning we came in and the old rotary
machine had gotten stuck in the paraffin and it overheated. All of our
cassettes were melted completely and what a mess. A whole experiment was
ruined,(luckily we are in research and these were animal tissues) and
believe me when that happened, the money was found very quickly for a new
processor. Sometimes it takes an emergency before something can happen.
