The answer to the formal vrs formol debate is, of course, to use the
term "formalin saline", unless, of course, somebody knows different!
In dentistry, and I have told this little tale before, normal saline is
often used to irrigate root canals prior to root filling. Quite a
different result is achieved if the terms normal saline and formal
saline are confused! And, Sod's Law being what it is,it has
hapened!
