I want to know if anyone has a protocol for doing IHC on frozen sections
that does not destroy the signal from green fluorescent protein. I am
transducing the mammary epithelium in mice with an adenovirus construct that
encodes GFP as a reporter gene. I want to show that transduced cells
express endogenous milk proteins normally. I am worried that the IHC
procedure I have been doing on mammary frozen sections for milk proteins
will destroy GFP signal. Specifically, can GFP withstand detergent and can
GFP withstand NaBH4?
