In many clinical labs the histotechs also do cytoprep, so I hope it's OK to ask a cytoprep question on the Histonet!
About how long should it take a tech to prepare about 10-12 specimens of Non-Gyn cytologies using the Thin Prep Technique? (specimens are already registered and accessioned) And also, does each specimen/patient have to be stained individually or can they be batched together? I know the staining set up has to be stripped down if a case is posative, but does that mean, there can be no batching. Thanks in advance!
