Your mentor was right, John. Nothing's new!
I was simply amazed to read the paper at my ripe old age and realise
I had not seen it before and full of so much good, interesting stuff!
and effective yet simple experiements.
I am talking about "Formaldehyde fixation" Fox, Johnson, Whiting &
Roller, J Histochem Cytochem. 1985;33:845-53. I am probably the only
person in histoland who has not read it before!
