Make sure that the sections of spleen and control are cut thicker than normal
at 7/8-9/10 microns.  It is important when performing Congo Red and
subsequent polarization that the sections be thicker than normal.
Conversely, it is unimportant if using Thioflavin T and Thioflavin S, both
flurorescent stains for amyloid with exquisite sensitivity for amyloid fibers.
