PVK is the name given a stain that two people in our department
designed to stain Chlamydia.  I mentioned it and showed a couple of
Kodachromes of at my workshop at NSH.  It stands for their names:
<bold><underline>P</underline></bold>ierce
<bold><underline>V</underline></bold>ander<bold><underline>K</underline></bold>amp.
