Andrea,
My brand new Immunology text book says,"The absence of CD3,but the
presence of CD56, CD16, or both, is currently the most reliable marker
for NK cells in humans, although both markers can be found on a minority
of T cells." The source is "Immunology" , fifth edition,Ivan Roitt,
Jonathan brostoff and David Male. Published by Mosby International,
Copyright 1998 page19.
Hope this helped!
