Several years ago at a Hospital I used to work at, it was necessary to
transfer old blocks to a storage area, at the beginning of the year to
make way for the new.  We boxed all the previous years autopsy blocks,
leaving it on the floor (complete with a note in large red letters
"SAVE autopsy material" overnight. You guessed it. Housekeeping
through it out.  We traced the box to a trash compactor (truck
mounted).  There was no way into the compacter so we followed the
truck to the local landfill where they spread out the  garbage.  We
found the box with the note still attached.
