We use Merosin (Laminin Alpha2) antibody on our frozen sections of human
muscle biopsies to assist in the diagnosis of congenital muscular
dystrophy (CMD). It appears this antibody only identifies the C-Terminal
portion of the laminin alpha2. Recent research has showed that we should
be using an N-terminal antibody to the Laminin alpha2 to get more precise
immunodetection of CMD. I havn't yet found a supplier for this antibody.
Does anyone know of a source and are there any labs out there producing
the stuff?
