Bleach will definitely eliminate DAB, and antigen activity as well!

I've lightened DAB immersing slides with dilute household bleach (sodium
hypochlorite), to the point where it was no longer visible. Try
1:20-1:100 dilution of the 5% commercial liquid. Don't know what
happens to it next time you react tissue for DAB, would recommend
another substrate or fluorescence, or at least appropriate controls.

If the section already has DAB (as it probably does), you cannot
eliminate it.
