Thanks for those who responded to my request. Suggestions included trying 
rose bengal, mercurochrome, erythrosin, and concentrations of 0.5% up to 
2% eosin-Y, as well as less rinsing afterward. I think everyone suggested 
phloxine to be added to the eosin. I am currently using 0.1% Eosin-Y in 
69.5% EtOH with 0.5% glacial acetic acid. I am going to try adding some 
phloxine and perhaps upping the conc of the eosin. Thanks and I will 
return the favor when possible.
