I don't know what type of plastic you are referring to but if you are 
interested in methylmethacrylate for undecalcified bone our recent article 
in JOH, June 2004 (Kacena et al) describes two different methylmethacrylate 
embedding methods for bone.  Also, there is a chapter in a book entitled 
"Bone Histomorphometry, Techniques and Interpretation, Recker, RR editor, 
CRC press, 1983 , pp 13-35 that describes another method.
