[Histonet] bone and cartilage staining on mounted sections

From:"Julien Lambrey de Souza"

Hello all histonetters,

We are curently in the process of organising a histology lab for the study of inferior vertebrates. We will first be looking at chondrification and ossification in fish larvae.

We want to do larvae sectioning and staining to view bone and cartilage. We have acquired various machines to do so.

Clear and stain methods have been used in our lab to stain whole larvae. Although I have looked through Humans animal histological techniques and various papers, I am wondering if anybody knows of a good protocol to do staining of these structures on mounted sections of fish larvae with an automated stainer.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Julien De Souza.
