ways to soften hardened tissues
Hello everybody,
for a change: a question on FISH
tissues...
We are looking for ways to soften fish tissues that
have been hardened due to fixation and storage in alcohol. We already have at
our disposal the protocol for Vin d'Alsace, which can be used for this purpose.
However, as Vin d'Alsace comprises a number of toxic products, we would like to
try a less "dangerous" alternative.
The aim of our attempt: we need to straighten fish
to record body measurements and such. So we are working with entire
organisms...
All suggestions are welcome.
