Re: mouse tissue processing

STF, Streck Tissue Fixative is a zinc based formalin substitute, manufactured
and distributed by STRECK Laboratories in Omaha, NE. 1-800-843-1912.
We use it exclusively for tissue fixation. I was skeptical at first, I love
my formalin - but I've come to like this stuff fairly well for our purposes,
anyway. I do IHC on virtually everything, and really like the results I've
seen with STF. I don't know about long term storage in this, tho - we fix for
24-48 hours with great IHC results on CD31. CD34, Ki67, TUNEL, Caspase3 - so
far so good.
