RE: Stock buffer concentrates

From:Cynthia Favara

We have a media section that does this for us usually 1 or 2L bottles of 10X solution. Works well. I like to have them sterile containers.

Subject: Stock buffer concentrates

Hello,
We are considering making our own wash buffer for immunohistochemistry procedures are are wondering if anyone is weighing out the salts and dissolving them in a small amount of water, adjusting the pH, then storing this as a "concentrate" which would be diluted appropriately when needed.
Our thinking is that this would be more convenient as we would be making 20 litres at a time.
Does this sound like a workable plan?  What are others out there doing?
Thanks in advance for your input!
