RE: Automated Coverslippers

From:"Bartlett, Jeanine"

As I have mentioned before on the Histonet we have the Leica because of the
better resolution with glass coverslips vs. film for photography. After
some initial issues that were handled promptly by Leica's service department
we have had very few complaints. We recently purchased a second machine to
use with aqueous mountant for our IHC. Lecia does not market it for this
use, however they let us "borrow" a new machine so we could see if it could
be adapted for this purpose. If was actually a fairly easy modification and
we were happy to purchase it for this express purpose.

Subject: Automated Coverslippers

Hi Histonetters,
I am requesting any Labs using automated coverslippers, mainly for
Immunohistochemistry and H&E staining, to give me their comments and
advantages/disadvantages. I need this feedback by the end of this week, if
possible, for our future purchase.
Thanks in advance.
