Hello all,
I had a technician  return from the training session at Tripath in N.C.  She
informed me that we have to use poly-l-lysine treated slides for the cells
to stay on.  I asked her about using positive charged slides.  She said they
told her it wouldn't work.  I told that was (never mind, I won't write what
I said) but I stopped using poly-l-lysine slides years ago.
    My question.  Does anyone use the positive charged slides on the
Autocyte?  Are you having problems with the cells falling off? Since the
machine also stains the slides,is there background staining on the slides?
I think this is all hogwash, but I've been wrong before.  Thanks again
