Thionin for chromatin clumps
Greetings,
I am trying to use Thionin to stain for chromatin clumps associated with
apoptosis in fetal monkey brain. I seem to be getting nice blue
staining of the smaller support cells, but weak pink/purple staining of
neurons. The tissue has already undergone immunostaining. I have
altered the pH of the Thionin solution ranging from 3.5 to 11 and still
can't seem to get selective neuronal staining. I have used nissl stains
in fetal and adult rat tissue without any problems, and am kinda stuck
on this one. Ideas, anyone?
Thanks in advance
