Being a stainless person myself for years I must beg you ......before you
totally change over to "disposable" after using stainless blades, please
try them out. I hate the lip that is created when the disposable is clamped
into the holder especially for frozens, we opted for the disposable
magnetic holder, the blades are disposable but comparable to stainless in
longevity and duarbility and no "lip" to catch the section. They are more
expensive but last longer than conventional disposables. I had one in my
Leica 1800 and Zeiss HM500OM at Mayo and have the same magnetic blade
holder in my Zeiss here in NE. It is a great compromise and you will
probably have to get a new blade holder for either of the disposable
