I use the monoclonal antibody from Dako code # M3512 at a dilution of 1:25.  I also use their Target Retreval System (TRS) in a steamer for about 40 minutes. See if you could try your antibody with Dako's TRS in a steamer.  Good Luck.

I saw a note several weeks ago requesting help with MyoD1 but never saw any responses.  I am now in the process of attempting to get it to work.  If anyone has any insite to this antibody I sure would appreciate it.  I am using FFPE tissue and NovaCastra antibody.
