A full-time histology position is available at Dermatopathology Diagnostics, 
a division of Pathology Services, P.A., a CLIA certified independent 
laboratory utilizing state-of-the-art histology equipment.  The position also 
entails some involvement with client services, computerized report 
generation, patient accounts receivable, and gross tissue examination.  A

on the applicants' training, experience, recommendations, and qualifications.

communication skills with good ability to read, write, and speak the English

sectioning, routine H&E and special staining is preferred.  At least 60 
semester hours or equivalent from an accredited institution that, as a 
minimum, include either 24 hours of MLT courses or 24 hours of science 
courses ( 6 in chemistry, 6 in biology, and 12 in chemistry, biology, or MLT 
in any combination) is recommended.  Copies of relevant transcripts must be 
provided so that advance approval by our CLIA inspectors can be obtained for 
purposes of meeting CLIA education requirements to perform high complexity 
testing ( gross tissue examination).  On site training for CLIA certification 
to perform gross examination of skin biopsies/excisions is available, but 
preference will be given to applicants who are currently CLIA certified to 
perform these examinations.  Basic computer skills with Windows is required.  
Must be able to lift at least ten pounds.  On site training will be provided 
for client services, patient accounts receivable, and pathology reporting
